Job summary

Clarksons PLC in Newcastle seeks an Agency Operator to join our port agency and logistics team. You will be the central liaison for port authorities, ship owners and crews, arranging crew and supplies and handling vessel requirements while in port.

Full training is provided, with rota-based after-hours work and coverage for other UK offices. You will manage documentation, QA-compliant processes, and maintain our in-house systems, contributing to safe, efficient operations in a fast-paced

Responsibilities

• Carry out ships agency and logistics operations; full training given
• Prepare vessels per QA requirements and use of in-house agency system
• Communicate with principals, harbour authorities and service companies promptly
• Assist with cargo and vessel documentation and official formalities
• Update the in-house database and maintain accurate records
• Board vessels moored at sea or dockside and arrange husbandry requirements
• Cover for other UK offices and work rota outside standard hours
