Clarksons Port Services in Newcastle upon Tyne is seeking an Agency Operator to manage ships agency and logistics within a port environment. You will liaise with port authorities, ship owners and crews, arranging crew, supplies, and handling documentation to meet port requirements.

The role requires flexibility to work outside standard hours on a rota, with cover across UK offices, and full training and support will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out ships agency operations duties; full training provided.
• Prepare and set up vessels in accordance with QA requirements and in-house systems.
• Communicate with port authorities, ship owners, crews and service providers in a timely manner.
• Assist in cargo and vessel documentation, HM Customs, Immigration, and other formalities.
• Update the in-house database and maintain accurate paperwork.
• Board vessels moored at sea or dockside.
• Arrange all husbandry requirements (stores, water, doctors, etc.).
• Cover other UK offices as needed and work outside standard hours on a rota.
