Job summary

Orion Electrotech is actively seeking a Production / Manufacturing Engineer to own the production test laboratory, drive continuous improvement, and support new product introductions. The role focuses on test equipment maintenance, fault-finding, and implementing test method improvements across electro-mechanical manufacturing.

The successful candidate will design test rigs and tooling using CAD, troubleshoot complex failures, and work closely with assembly teams to ensure production readiness.

Qualifications

• Significant hands-on experience in production/test/manufacturing engineering roles.
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting abilities across electro-mechanical systems.
• Experience designing or modifying test rigs, fixtures, and production tooling.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operation of the production test laboratory.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and improve production test equipment.
• Design/test rigs, fixtures, and tooling using CAD.
• Support root cause investigations and resolve test failures.
• Develop new test methods and improve existing processes.
• Support new product introduction and production readiness.
• Provide technical support for electro-mechanical assembly and manufacturing teams.
• Assist with automation, data capture, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, work instructions, and test procedures.
