Job summary

Orion Electrotech is partnering with a Burton upon Trent based client to appoint a Production / Manufacturing Engineer. You will own the production test laboratory, maintain and improve test equipment, and design test rigs and tooling using CAD.

You will support root cause investigations, NPI, and automation initiatives while collaborating with electro-mechanical assembly teams. The role requires strong hands-on problem-solving abilities, experience with test equipment and drawing

Qualifications

Experience performing electro-mechanical fault-finding and troubleshooting on production/test environments.

Responsibilities

Manage the day-to-day operation of the production test laboratory.
Maintain, troubleshoot, and improve production test equipment.
Use CAD to design and develop test rigs, fixtures, jigs, and tooling.
Support root cause investigations and resolve test failures.
Develop new test methods and improve existing processes.
Support new product introduction and production readiness.
Provide technical support for electro-mechanical assembly and manufacturing teams.
Assist with automation, data capture, analysis and CI initiatives.
Create and maintain technical documentation and test procedures.
