Job summary
Orion Electrotech is partnering with an established technology manufacturer to appoint a Manufacturing Engineering Manager. You will lead Manufacturing Engineering, NPI Industrialisation, Continuous Improvement and Equipment Maintenance, reporting to the Head of Manufacturing.
You will drive automation and digitisation initiatives to align capabilities with growth. Hitting KPIs, you will oversee CAPEX projects, define strategy, and ensure manufacturing readiness for launches while delivering
Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years' experience in a manufacturing engineering environment.
- At least 3 years' leadership or management experience.
- Proven track record leading Manufacturing Engineering, NPI Industrialisation and Continuous Improvement.
- Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Experience working within ISO9001 or similar quality management systems.
- Familiarity with ERP, MES, CAD and data analytics tools.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the Manufacturing Engineering function with aligned resources.
- Define and deliver the manufacturing engineering strategy and technology roadmap.
- Drive successful industrialisation of new products and manufacturing readiness.
- Act as the technical authority for processes, equipment and industrialisation.
- Oversee development and implementation of processes, systems, tooling and equipment.
- Identify and implement automation, digitisation and Industry 4.0 initiatives.
- Lead NPI, CAPEX and continuous improvement projects across operations.
- Support Design for Manufacture (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) initiatives.
- Deliver productivity improvements, waste reduction and cost savings.
