HR GO Group is seeking a Manufacturing Team Leader for an FMCG food manufacturing site in Bishops Stortford. The role is a contract position, covering shifts 4 days on and 4 days off, with an on-site base.

You will support the Shift Manager with day-to-day operations, people supervision, machinery, quality and safety to maintain production targets. You will lead on-hand supervision, drive continuous improvement, and ensure smooth handovers between shifts.

• Minimum 2 years' experience in FMCG food manufacturing.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
• Knowledge of food safety & H&S requirements.
• Able to interpret data to improve performance.
• Strong communication and decision-making skills.

MANUFACTURING TEAM LEADER - Contract

Our client is looking for a proactive, hands-on MANUFACTURING TEAM LEADER - Shifts 4 days on and 4 days off to join a fast-paced FMCG food manufacturing site in Bishops Stortford. This role suits someone with a strong shop-floor presence, a team leader mindset, and the confidence to step up when needed.

Role summary

As the MANUFACTURING TEAM LEADER you'll work on the shop floor supporting the Shift Manager with day-to-day operations, people supervision, machinery, quality and safety. You'll help keep productions running smoothly, deliver performance targets, and address urgent issues to maintain customer satisfaction. You'll also support clear handover between shifts to keep the area running efficiently.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years' experience within FMCG food manufacturing
• Excellent spoken and written English
• Strong working knowledge of food manufacturing processes and statutory requirements (Food Safety & H&S)
• Confident people skills with experience shaping a positive culture
• Able to interpret data and use it to improve performance and productions output
• Strong communication skills and decision‑making ability

Shift pattern / location

• Shifts 4 days on and 4 days off (4 on / 4 off rota)
• Based on-site in Bishops Stortford
• 8 month Contract
• You must be flexible and reliable to cover shifts as required by the rota and operational needs
