Job summary

Elite Hire in the United Kingdom is seeking a Project Engineer to deliver capital projects safely, on time and on budget across FMCG/manufacturing environments.

You will scope, plan and manage projects from new machinery to line upgrades, write specifications, and oversee installation, commissioning and handover to production, ensuring adherence to health, safety and CDM requirements.

You will work closely with production, maintenance and quality teams to minimise disruption and maximise value.

Qualifications

• Degree or HNC in Mechanical, Electrical or Manufacturing Engineering.
• 3+ years in a project or engineering role in manufacturing.
• Experience managing contractors and equipment installations.
• Good knowledge of machinery safety and CDM.
• Strong planning and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Scope, plan and deliver engineering projects, from new machinery to line upgrades
• Write specifications and manage suppliers and contractors
• Track budgets, timelines and risks, and report progress to management
• Oversee installation, commissioning and handover to production
• Make sure projects meet health, safety and CDM requirements
• Work with production, maintenance and quality teams throughout
