CBSbutler is seeking a Manufacturing Investment Project Manager to lead multi-million‑pound capital investment projects in one of the UK's most advanced engineering environments. You will develop business cases, secure funding and guide cross‑functional teams from concept to commissioning.

The role spans Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain and Commercial teams to identify improvement opportunities and deliver projects that increase capacity and efficiency for future growth.

Qualifications

• Degree or HND in Manufacturing, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
• Experience delivering manufacturing, industrial or capital investment projects.
• Strong Lean Manufacturing and process improvement knowledge.
• Experience developing business cases and managing project budgets.
• Excellent stakeholder management and project leadership skills.
• Experience in regulated environments such as aerospace, defence, automotive, FMCG, medical devices or pharmaceuticals is advantageous.

• Conduct capacity planning and identify manufacturing bottlenecks.
• Specify, procure and commission new manufacturing equipment and production systems.

• Drive Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.

Manufacturing Investment Project Manager

You'll lead major manufacturing investment projects that increase production capacity, improve efficiency and introduce new manufacturing technologies into one of the UK's most advanced engineering environments.

Working at the heart of Operations, you'll develop business cases for multi-million-pound capital investment, secure project funding and lead cross‑functional teams from concept through to commissioning.

If you're an experienced Manufacturing Engineer, Industrial Engineer or Capital Projects Engineer looking to move into a highly strategic role where you can genuinely influence how products are manufactured, this offers a unique opportunity.

The Role

About You

We're looking for someone with:

• Degree or HND in Manufacturing, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering (or similar).
• Experience delivering manufacturing, industrial or capital investment projects.
• Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing and process improvement techniques.
• Experience developing business cases and managing project budgets.
• Excellent stakeholder management and project leadership skills.
• Experience within regulated manufacturing environments such as aerospace, defence, automotive, FMCG, medical devices, pharmaceuticals or similar would be highly advantageous.
