Manufacturing Operative Required - Northampton

Quest Employment are currently recruiting for a Manufacturing Operative / Assembly Operative to join our client's production team.

This is a great opportunity for someone with previous manufacturing, engineering or automotive experience who enjoys hands‑on work and can use their own initiative. The ideal candidate will be practical, detail‑focused and confident suggesting new ideas to help improve the team and production process.

The Role

As a Manufacturing Operative / Assembly Operative, your duties may include:

• Operating hand tools and power tools to assemble products

• Assembling products accurately to required specifications

• Following detailed instructions, blueprints and technical drawings

• Inspecting finished products for quality and accuracy

• Checking work meets required standards

• Troubleshooting and resolving issues during the manufacturing process

• Supporting production targets in a fast‑paced environment

• Maintaining a clean, tidy and organised work area

• Working safely and following all health and safety procedures

• Working independently and as part of a team

• Using your own initiative and suggesting ideas where improvements can be made
