Job summary

Quest Employment are partnering with a Northampton-based client to recruit a Manufacturing Operative / Assembly Operative. The role involves assembling products with hand and power tools, following blueprints, and inspecting quality.

You’ll work Monday to Friday, 6:00am–2:30pm, up to 40 hours, with overtime and a £150 productivity bonus. This is a hands-on, team-focused role in a busy manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing or engineering environments.
• Automotive industry experience desirable.
• Proficient with hand and power tools.
• Ability to read blueprints or technical drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Able to follow instructions.
• Good communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Operate hand tools and power tools to assemble products.
• Assemble products accurately to required specifications.
• Follow detailed instructions, blueprints and drawings.
• Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy.
• Check work meets required standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues during manufacturing.
• Support production targets in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain a clean, tidy and organised work area.
• Work safely and follow health and safety procedures.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
• Use own initiative and suggest improvements.
