Travail Employment Group is seeking a Manufacturing Operative in Doncaster to join a market-leading manufacturer in the transport and commercial vehicle sector. The role combines routine production line tasks with hands-on problem solving to ensure quality output.

You will work on assembling and fitting components, interpreting engineering drawings, using hand and power tools, and measuring materials to meet precise standards. Overtime available to reflect strong earning potential.

Manufacturing Operative - Doncaster - Up to £35k (£17.00 ph.) + Overtime


This is an excellent opportunity to join a market-leading manufacturer operating within the transport and commercial vehicle sector. Ongoing growth and increasing demand have created the need for a skilled manufacturing operative / technician to join their production team.


Applications are welcomed from individuals with strong mechanical aptitude, practical skills and previous experience within manufacturing, engineering, assembly or maintenance environments.


The role of a Manufacturing Operative is varied and practical, combining routine production line activities with problem-solving and quality-focused manufacturing work.


You will be involved in assembling and fitting components, interpreting engineering drawings, measuring and marking materials, using a variety of hand and power tools and ensuring products are manufactured to the required standards.


You will work both independently and as part of a wider production team, helping to identify production improvements and supporting colleagues where required.


Communication and teamwork are key within this environment and successful candidates will be committed to working safely whilst maintaining high standards of workmanship and quality throughout the manufacturing process.


Manufacturing operative requirements:


Strong mechanical aptitude and practical skills


Experience using drills, grinders, circular saws, impact drivers and other power tools


Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings


Experience using measuring equipment and marking out materials


Positive attitude and willingness to learn


Commitment to safe working practices.


Desirable experience:


Coach building or vehicle body building


HGV trailer manufacturing or repair


Commercial vehicle conversion


Mechanical fitting or maintenance fitting


Electrical installation or low-voltage vehicle wiring


IOSH Working Safely, LOLER, MEWP or Scissor Lift qualifications.


Manufacturing Operative is a permanent opportunity offering long-term stability, excellent earning potential through overtime and the chance to develop your skills within a growing UK manufacturing business. Other benefits include:


Salary: Up to £17.00 per hour (£35k) depending on skills and experience plus overtime.


Overtime: Time and a half on Fridays and Saturdays, double time on Sundays


Working week: 40 hours per week, Monday to Thursday, 6am to 4.30pm


Getting there: Doncaster, easily accessible on public transport. Free onsite parking available.
