Roles & Responsibilities
- Safely lift, carry and move steel components and finished products.
- Carry out basic spray painting duties, including surface preparation and applying coatings as instructed.
- Perform grinding, fettling, deburring and surface preparation using hand and power tools.
- Support general production activities including packing, labelling and basic assembly.
- Carry out basic visual quality inspections and report any defects.
- Follow work instructions and health & safety procedures at all times.
- Maintain excellent housekeeping and 5S standards throughout the workshop.
- Wear the appropriate PPE, including safety boots, gloves, eye and hearing protection, and respirators where required.
- Work towards daily production targets while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Shift Pattern
- Monday to Thursday
- 6:00am - 4:30pm
- Four-day working week
About You
- Comfortable working in an engineering or manufacturing workshop environment.
- Happy carrying out physically demanding, hands-on work.
- Able to undertake manual handling and remain on your feet for extended periods.
- Willing to carry out basic spray painting and grinding duties safely.
- Reliable, punctual and able to follow instructions.
- Strong awareness of health and safety procedures.
Desirable
- Previous experience as a Production Operative.
- Experience working within an engineering or manufacturing workshop.
- Knowledge of basic quality standards.
- Experience using hand and power tools.
