Job summary

Workchain in Coventry is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Manager to lead day-to-day production, coordinate resources and ensure safety, quality and efficiency on a permanent, dayshift basis.

The role requires practical leadership, strong planning skills, and the ability to drive process improvements across production, engineering and purchasing teams.

You will oversee output, cost control and delivery performance while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in manufacturing management and production leadership.
• Strong knowledge of production planning, process improvement and quality control.
• Experience leading teams and coordinating cross-functional work.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily manufacturing activities and coordinate workflow across the production operation
• Plan resources, schedules and priorities to meet production requirements
• Monitor output, quality, costs and delivery performance
• Lead, support and develop production team members
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, productivity and efficiency
• Work closely with engineering, technical, purchasing and other internal teams
• Ensure procedures, health and safety requirements and quality standards are followed
• Investigate production issues and implement effective corrective actions
• Maintain accurate records and provide clear operational updates
