Birmingham-based manufacturer requires an experienced Production Manager to own and optimise its manufacturing operation on-site. You will lead a hands-on, people-focused team, drive daily production activity and ensure quality, safety and on-time delivery.

This role reports to the MD and works closely with Operations, Quality, Technical and Supply Chain to boost efficiency and growth. The successful candidate will have an engineering background (HNC or equivalent), multi-line production

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing a multi line production/manufacturing operation.
• Background in engineering (HNC or equivalent) with oversight of a small engineering team.
• Experience in an SME environment and leading shop-floor teams.
• Strong capability in production planning, scheduling and meeting deadlines.
• Solid understanding of quality and health and safety requirements.
• Hands-on, visible leader who builds rapport with the shop floor.

Responsabilités

• Lead day-to-day production operation and shop-floor team.
• Plan and schedule production to meet customer demand and delivery timelines.
• Manage production performance, output, quality and efficiency.
• Ensure products meet required quality and specifications.
• Manage resources, capacity and workflow in production.
• Develop, motivate and support the production team.
• Collaborate with operations, quality, technical and supply chain.
• Ensure compliance with H&S, quality and regulatory standards.
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity and reduce waste.
• Support wider operational strategy and business growth.
