Sirius Recruitment Services Ltd is collaborating with a Coventry-based sheet metal subcontractor to recruit an experienced Production Manager who will oversee sheet metal fabrication operations across sites. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will manage 25-30 direct reports and drive efficiency.

The role requires strong leadership, lean manufacturing knowledge, and a proven track record of process improvement in a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

Salary: very competitive

Straight Day Shifts (with some flexibility on hours worked)

We are working with a sub-contract sheet metal business in Coventry, who are looking to recruit an experienced Production Manager to oversee sheet metal fabrication operations across their sites.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Production Manager will be responsible for:

• Managing production operations across multiple sheet metal fabrication sites with 25-30 direct reports
• Leading process improvements and implement new operational standards to drive efficiency and ensure work is completed OTIF.

Preferred Requirements

• Solid understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes and production workflows
• Proven experience managing large teams in a manufacturing or production environment
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise in a constantly changing setting
• PC literate and comfortable using production management systems and tools
• Self-starter mentality with the drive to hit the ground running and contribute ideas for process improvement.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Qualification in Production Management, Engineering, or a related discipline
• Demonstrated experience in a supervisory or management role within a sheet metal fabrication business.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies.
