Prodrive Recruitment Consultants Ltd are seeking a highly motivated Process Operations Manager for our client in Worcestershire to oversee site production and engineering departments, ensuring products meet specification, budget and timescales while complying with health, safety and environment policies.

Qualifications

• Ideally educated to degree level in engineering or science.
• Experience in manufacturing environment, food or feed industries desirable.
• Proven engineering experience in a process environment.
• Good IT proficiency including ERP and Production systems.
• Experience in SME environments desirable.
• Knowledge of continual improvement techniques.
• Experience in developing and managing a manufacturing team.
• Ability to analyse production data and address issues.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compliance knowledge and understanding of manufacturing regulations.

Responsabilités

• Lead, mentor and develop manufacturing staff to maximise contribution.
• Formulate and implement production strategies to ensure supply continuity.
• Drive continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma and Kaizen to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
• Ensure plant and equipment are inspected and maintained to safe standards and repairs initiated as needed.
• Promote cross-functional collaboration with engineering, sales, supply chain and quality assurance.
• Monitor plant and machinery effectiveness and report performance to senior management.
• Instigate and manage CAPEX projects with the General Manager, coordinating with contractors and suppliers.
• Negotiate and manage contracts for site services (e.g., waste, distribution, maintenance).
• Contribute to product development and assess its impact on production.
• Ensure compliance with environment schemes (EPR, REACH, Climate Change Agreements).
• Manage Health, Safety and Environment systems and policies and ensure regulatory compliance.
