Job summary

CVI Infrared Optics, part of the IDEX MSS platform, is seeking a proactive Supply Chain Administrator in Whetstone (Leicester) to support shipping, inventory, and documentation within a manufacturing setting.

You will collaborate with Supply Chain Manager and cross‑functionally with Purchasing, Manufacturing, Quality, Planning, Suppliers, and Customers. Full training provided to broaden supply chain knowledge and skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing/logistics or supply chain.
• Experience with goods receiving and inventory handling.
• Shipping and logistics experience.
• Experience using ERP systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
• Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
• Good written and verbal communication.
• Ability to handle products safely and follow established procedures.
• Motivated, reliable, proactive, and adaptable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare finished goods for shipment, including packing and labeling.
• Arrange freight collections and monitor shipments.
• Coordinate release of test pieces to teams.
• Manage production consumables and stock levels.
• Process Manual Shipping Orders (MSOs) when required.
• Prepare CoCs and shipping documentation.
• Maintain digital records and ensure traceability of customer documents.
• Receive incoming materials and record goods received in ERP.
• Coordinate inspections and storage of materials.
• Release work orders and manage production paperwork.
• Support customs clearance documentation.
• Create shipments and arrange freight collections.
• Distribute quality documentation to customers.
