Job summary

IDEX is seeking a proactive Supply Chain Administrator to join its Manufacturing division in Whetstone, Leicestershire. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, you will support shipping activities, inventory management, documentation control and cross-functional collaboration across goods receiving, work order release and customs administration.

This role offers full training and opportunities to broaden your knowledge of end-to-end supply chain processes within a growing team.

Qualifications

• Essential experience in manufacturing, logistics or supply chain environments.

Responsibilities

• Prepare finished goods for shipment, including wrapping, packing, labelling and documentation.
• Arrange freight collections and monitor shipments through to collection.
• Coordinate the release of test pieces to appropriate teams.
• Manage production consumables, stock monitoring and replenishment tracking.
• Process Manual Shipping Orders (MSOs) when required.
• Prepare and consolidate quality records for CoCs.
• Verify, archive and distribute shipping documentation.
• Maintain digital records and ensure full traceability of customer documents.
• Receive incoming materials and record goods received in ERP.
• Coordinate inspection requests and ensure correct storage.
• Input quality information into customer documentation.
• Release work orders and distribute production paperwork.
• Support customs clearance activities and documentation.
• Create shipments and arrange freight collections.
• Distribute quality documentation to customers after shipment.

Join Our Team

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Supply Chain Administrator to join our Supply Chain team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in logistics, shipping, goods receiving, or administration within a manufacturing environment who is looking to develop their career within a growing and collaborative business. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth movement of materials and finished products throughout the supply chain process. You will support shipping activities, inventory management, documentation control, and provide cross-functional support across goods receiving, work order release, and customs administration. Full training will be provided, making this a fantastic opportunity to broaden your knowledge and gain exposure to the entire supply chain lifecycle.

What You'll Be Doing

Core Responsibilities

• Prepare finished goods for shipment, including wrapping, packing, labelling, and documentation.
• Arrange freight collections and monitor shipments through to collection.
• Coordinate the release of test pieces to the appropriate teams.
• Manage production consumables, including stock monitoring, cycle counting, replenishment tracking, and liaison with purchasing and production teams.
• Process Manual Shipping Orders (MSOs) when required.
• Prepare and consolidate quality records for Certificates of Conformity (CoCs).
• Verify, archive, and distribute shipping documentation.
• Maintain accurate digital records and ensure full traceability of customer documents.

Additional Responsibilities & Holiday Cover

• Receive incoming materials and record goods received within the ERP system.
• Coordinate inspection requests and ensure materials are stored correctly.
• Input quality information into customer documentation.
• Release work orders and distribute production paperwork.
• Support customs clearance activities and associated documentation.
• Create shipments, print shipping documentation, and arrange freight collections.
• Distribute quality documentation to customers following shipment.

What We're Looking For

• Essential Experience within a manufacturing, production, logistics, or supply chain environment.
• Experience with goods receiving processes and inventory handling.
• Shipping and logistics experience.
• Experience using ERP systems.
• Good Microsoft Office and Outlook skills.

Desirable Qualifications

• Desirable GCSE (or equivalent) Mathematics and English.
• Experience of wrapping, packing, and preparing products for shipment.
• Two or more years' experience within a manufacturing or production environment.

Location: Whetstone, Leicester Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30am to 4:30pm (37.5 hours per week, 30-minute unpaid lunch break)
