Job summary

Technology & Risk Recruitment is recruiting an IT Support & Systems Technician for a manufacturing business in the United Kingdom. The role provides hands-on support across users, systems and IT infrastructure, reporting to the Group IT Manager.

You will resolve hardware, software and connectivity issues, maintain IT systems, user accounts and business applications, and assist with desktop and device maintenance. On-site work and a practical hands-on approach are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT support or a similar technical role.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving across hardware, software and IT systems.
• Hands-on, practical approach to technical support and issue resolution.
• Good communication skills and ability to support users with varying technical knowledge.
• On-site work and ability to manage competing support priorities.
• Manufacturing or industrial environment experience is advantageous.
• Exposure to Infor or Microsoft Dynamics is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day IT support to users across the business, resolving hardware, software and connectivity issues.
• Troubleshoot technical problems and manage incidents through to resolution.
• Support the maintenance and administration of IT systems, user accounts, devices and business applications.
• Assist with the installation, configuration and maintenance of desktops, laptops, peripherals and other IT equipment.
• Support network connectivity and general IT infrastructure.
• Help maintain system availability, security and reliable IT operations.
• Document technical issues, solutions and IT procedures.
• Work closely with the Group IT Manager and wider business to identify improvements to IT services and internal support processes.
