Job summary

Macildowie are recruiting a People Operations Advisor for Annesley, Nottinghamshire. The role is a permanent, full-time position in a large manufacturing and operational environment, predominantly on-site with some flexibility.

You will provide pragmatic HR advice, coaching and guidance across operational and strategic people matters, focusing on employee relations, absence management and workforce planning. Excellent knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as HR generalist or HR advisory within manufacturing/operational environments
• Solid employee relations experience
• Knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
• Experience coaching and influencing operational managers
• Proactive approach and data-driven mindset
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience working with HR data/MI and Excel
• Experience supporting employee engagement initiatives and change projects
• CIPD Level 5 or progress towards qualification advantageous
• Experience in a unionised environment advantageous

Responsibilities

• Provide pragmatic HR advice, coaching and guidance across operational and strategic people matters
• Advise on absence, investigations and employee relations issues
• Coach managers to confidently manage their teams and people responsibilities
• Support delivery of People policies, procedures and process improvements
• Drive effective absence management and identify trends/opportunities
• Support engagement, reward, culture initiatives and wider people projects
• Contribute to talent development, succession planning and workforce planning
• Support organisational change and HR projects
• Produce and interpret HR data/MI including absence reporting
• Work collaboratively within a unionised environment
• Ensure HR activity remains compliant with employment legislation and best practice
• Support apprenticeship and employee development initiatives
