Job summary

E3recruitment is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to commission a brand-new production line within a large PLC manufacturing group. You will help shape long-term performance and work across engineering, operations and external partners to deliver reliable, scalable processes.

Responsibilities include installation, commissioning, process optimisation, data analysis and leading improvement projects from concept to handover. CAD and Lean skills are desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing or commissioning engineering roles.
• Hands-on experience introducing or commissioning manufacturing equipment.
• Strong fault-finding and continuous-improvement skills.
• Evidence of improving OEE, reliability, quality, throughput or waste.
• CAD, Lean Manufacturing, automation or reliability-centred maintenance advantageous.

This role may suit a Manufacturing Engineer, Process Engineer, Production Engineer, Project Engineer, Commissioning Engineer, or Reliability Engineer.

Key responsibilities of Manufacturing Engineer:

We’re looking for a Manufacturing Engineer who can demonstrate the following:

• Experience in a manufacturing, process, production, project or commissioning engineering role.
• Hands-on experience introducing or commissioning manufacturing equipment.
• Strong fault-finding, problem-solving and continuous-improvement skills.
• Evidence of improving OEE, reliability, quality, throughput or waste.
• A relevant apprenticeship, HNC, HND, degree or equivalent engineering background.
• Experience of CAD, tooling, Lean Manufacturing, automation, process validation or reliability-centred maintenance would be advantageous.
