Job summary

Rooted Recruitment seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to deliver day-to-day engineering support to production, troubleshoot equipment and process issues, and work closely with assemblers and operators.

You will lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and 5S principles, manage engineering changes and PFMEAs, and develop tooling and methods to enable scalable production for new products.

Qualifications

• BSc or HNC in engineering or related field or equivalent.
• Experience in Production/Manufacturing Engineering focusing on CI and problem solving.
• CAD proficiency with SolidWorks; strong Excel and ERP knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day engineering support to production operations and troubleshoot equipment/process issues.

Manufacturing Engineer

Job Description

Provide day-to-day engineering support to production operations, troubleshooting equipment and process issues while working closely with assemblers and operators.

Lead continuous improvement projects focused on enhancing productivity, quality, labour efficiency, and throughput using Lean Manufacturing and 5S principles.

Manage engineering changes, process validations, PFMEAs, and manufacturing documentation to ensure robust and controlled production processes.

Support new product introductions by developing tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing methods that ensure efficient and scalable production.

Compensation

• Full-time, permanent position working 39 hours per week.
• Standard hours: Monday to Thursday 7:30am to 4:30pm, Friday 7:30am to 12:30pm.

Skills

• BSc or HNC in an engineering or technical discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Previous experience in Production or Manufacturing Engineering with a strong focus on continuous improvement and structured problem solving.
• Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD/Draftsight, with advanced Microsoft Excel and ERP system knowledge.
• Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams.
