Job summary

Torbay Pharma in Paignton, Devon, is recruiting a Manufacturing Support Technician to join our new Process Engineering and Optimisation team. The role involves executing manufacturing support activities, driving initial problem solving, and delivering Lean improvements with a Six Sigma mindset, with a clear progression towards Senior Support Technician.

Reporting to the Technical Support Lead, you will support fill/finish manufacturing and packaging, run trials, validation support,

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, engineering or technical environments.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Knowledge of Lean and Continuous Improvement principles.
• Good understanding of GMP requirements.
• Strong organisational and task management skills.
• Clear communication and teamwork abilities.
• Analytical mindset with data-driven improvement ideas.

Responsibilities

• Provide frontline operational and technical support across manufacturing and packaging.
• Carry out trials, validation support, troubleshooting and data capture.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement improvements.
• Apply Lean tools such as 5S and waste reduction as standard practice.
• Maintain documentation and ensure GMP compliance.
• Support lifecycle changes and process trials as needed.
