Job summary

Adecco Group UK & Ireland is recruiting for a Process Support Engineer to join a growing manufacturing business. You will design, develop and improve processes to ensure safety, efficiency and quality, supporting production across lifecycle.

You will work with production, quality, engineering and supply chain to drive lean improvements, risk assessments and product readiness. A degree in engineering and manufacturing experience are preferred; NEBOSH is advantageous.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry or a related engineering discipline.
  • Experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
  • Knowledge of systems engineering, requirements management, validation and verification processes.
  • Experience in engineering design, process improvement and problem-solving techniques.
  • Lean Six Sigma knowledge (Green Belt desirable).
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Good IT skills including Microsoft Office and Teams.
  • NEBOSH qualification would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop manufacturing processes, plant layouts, tooling and production methods.
  • Lead process risk assessments and manufacturing trials.
  • Implement safe and lean manufacturing practices.
  • Drive continuous improvement activities using process analysis and FMEA methodology.
  • Support root cause investigations and corrective action plans.
  • Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, quality plans and Bills of Materials.
  • Develop operating instructions and provide training to production teams.
  • Support product introduction and production readiness activities.
  • Provide technical support to production teams and assist in resolving engineering issues.
  • Prepare technical reports and present findings to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support business development activities and critical engineering projects as required.

Job description

We are currently recruiting for a Process Support Engineer to join a successful and growing manufacturing business. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys process improvement, problem-solving, and supporting production operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

As a Process Support Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing and improving manufacturing processes to ensure products are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards. You will work closely with production, quality, engineering and supply chain teams to support both new and existing products throughout their lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop manufacturing processes, plant layouts, tooling and production methods.
  • Lead process risk assessments and manufacturing trials.

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry or a related engineering discipline.
  • Previous experience working within a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Knowledge of systems engineering, requirements management, validation and verification processes.
  • Experience of engineering design, process improvement and problem-solving techniques.
