Job summary

First Recruitment Group is seeking a Site Engineer for a permanent role in Manchester to support major infrastructure projects valued £1m to £10m. The role requires coordinating across design teams, operational stakeholders and supply chain partners to deliver projects safely and to programme.

Key tasks include developing project plans, RAMS, ITPs and waste management plans; maintaining site records; ensuring supply chain compliance; and reporting on safety, cost and progress.

Qualifications

• Experience on projects valued £1m+
• Experience on multidisciplinary projects
• Experience delivering projects safely to quality, cost and programme requirements
• Experience with NEC contracts
• Strong stakeholder management and collaboration
• Good computer skills including MS Office and PM software
• Experience with Primavera or similar planning software is advantageous
• HNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering
• SMSTS qualification
• CSCS card
• Full UK driving licence

Responsibilities

• Support and develop site teams.
• Produce and implement project plans, RAMS, ITPs and waste management plans.
• Maintain robust site records including diaries and allocation sheets.
• Ensure supply chain partners comply with project and framework requirements.
• Support a strong safety culture with a focus on zero incidents.
• Maintain a commercial focus and identify delivery strategies.
• Work with Senior Engineers and Project Managers to ensure resources.
• Report regularly on safety, progress, cost and change metrics.
• Identify risks early and support mitigation strategies.
• Assist in delivering multidisciplinary engineering and construction projects.
