Job summary

Leading Tier 1 Main Contractor in South Yorkshire is recruiting a Site Engineer on a permanent basis. You will work on schemes valued £10m-£200m, ensuring accurate setting out, RAMS, and quality control.

The role demands supervising direct labour and coordinating sub-contractors, keeping drawings and programme up to date, and ensuring works align with contract requirements. Salary £60,000–£65,000 plus package.

Qualifications

• Degree, HND or equivalent qualification.
• Strong experience in a similar site engineer role.
• Demonstrable setting-out experience on large-scale schemes.
• Valid driving licence is required.
• SMSTS, First Aid and CSCS card held.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all site activities comply with policies and procedures.
• Induct all personnel and ensure RAMS are in place for all work.
• Supervise and coordinate site labour and sub-contractors.
• Manage sub-contract packages and coordinate with the project team.
• Support production teams with technical input and quality control.
• Produce RAMS for direct labour and approve RAMS for elements of the work.
• Record and monitor NCRs and maintain the NCR register.
• Ensure accurate setting out and dimensional control within tolerances.
• Keep drawings, specs and contract documents up to date.
• Ensure the project programme is available and communicated to the supply chain.
