Due to company expansion and projects awarded, my client is recruiting permanently for a Managing Surveyor to work on a large highways project in Essex. Overseeing a team of 2 professionals, you will play a key role in mentoring and developing these team members to their full potential. As a Managing Quantity Surveyor, you will ensure high quality commercial services including interim and final accounts, sub-contract procurement and supply chain management. You will prepare quarterly forecasts of contract turnover and profitability, reporting on variances and potentials monthly; provide contractual and commercial advice for tenders, and coordinate the production of monthly site reports and advice the wider team on commercial and contractual matters to name just a few duties.
REQUIREMENTS
In order to be considered for this opportunity, you will need to be degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management. Additionally, you must have proven experience of working at Managing Quantity Surveyor level in a civil engineering environment, ideally working on large highways projects for a Tier 1 Main contractor. Furthermore, as this is a permanent opportunity, it is essential that you are able to demonstrate longevity in the workplace, holding each previous appointment for a minimum of 2 years.
REWARDS AND BENEFITS
For this permanent opportunity, my client is targeting professionals looking to earn anywhere from £75,000 – £85,000 per annum however there may be flexibility on this as the specific salary will depend on experience and suitability. Furthermore, there will be a generous package offered including 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, company car scheme, private healthcare, hybrid working (1-2 days a week) and other benefits associated with a leading contractor.
