Job summary

Education South West is seeking a Manager for Behaviour & Learning to drive the school’s behaviour strategy and ensure every student can thrive. You will work with the College Leadership Team to support students who benefit from structured learning and a calm classroom environment.

You will be a student-centered, highly organized professional who strengthens relationships with families and external agencies while upholding safeguarding standards and leading by example across the college

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of the College Behaviour Policy and promote positive behaviour for learning.
• Collaborate with the College Leadership Team to support students who need a structured learning environment.
• Build strong relationships with students, parents and external agencies to secure positive outcomes for young people.
• Maintain a safe and positive environment during lunchtimes and throughout the school day.

Job description

We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our Student Support Team as Manager for Behaviour & Learning, a rewarding role that is central to the successful implementation of our College Behaviour Policy and our commitment to ensuring every student can thrive.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in a whole-college strategy that supports students who may benefit from a more structured and guided learning environment in order to access and succeed within mainstream classrooms. Working closely with the College Leadership Team, you will help create a culture where excellent behaviour, respect and positive relationships enable all students to achieve their full potential.

The successful candidate will possess outstanding interpersonal skills and be genuinely child-centred in their approach. You will be highly organised, resilient and proactive, with the ability to manage competing priorities and respond calmly and effectively to challenges as they arise. You will lead by example, demonstrate sound judgement and show initiative in supporting students, staff and families.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about high standards and believes that positive behaviour for learning is fundamental to student success. You will work professionally and confidentially with students, parents and external agencies, building strong relationships that support positive outcomes for young people.

In addition, the postholder will play an active role in maintaining a safe and positive environment during lunchtime .
