Job summary

Lawhive is seeking a part-qualified or newly qualified accountant to support month-end close and management accounting across UK and US entities. You will maintain balance sheets, run intercompany processes, and enhance financial controls while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

The role offers hybrid working with three days onsite per week and exposure to statutory audit preparation for a growing, multi-entity environment.

Qualifications

• Part-qualified or newly qualified accountant with ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.
• Experience with month-end close and management accounts across multiple entities.
• Familiarity with Xero and/or NetSuite or equivalent general ledger systems.
• Comfort working in a fast-moving multi-entity environment and through ambiguity.
• Strong reconciliations, accruals, and intercompany accounting knowledge.
• Detail-oriented with commercial curiosity and ability to explain numbers.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end close across multiple UK and US group entities.
• Prepare management accounts with variance analysis and commentary.
• Maintain balance sheet integrity including reconciliations, accruals, deferred revenue, WIP, and intercompany activity.
• Process transactions and maintain ledgers across Xero and NetSuite.
• Support scalable processes across payables, revenue, payroll, and the general ledger.
• Improve reporting, data quality, and month-end speed.
• Assist with statutory audit preparation and audit file responses.
• Strengthen financial controls and documentation across entities.
• Flag process risks and support remediation.
• Assist with stabilising newly acquired entities and align with standards.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, legal operations, people and talent, and executives.

• Maintain balance sheet integrity, including reconciliations, accruals, deferred revenue, WIP, and intercompany activity
• Process transactions and maintain controlled ledgers across Xero and NetSuite
• Support scalable, automated processes across payables, revenue, payroll, and the general ledger
• Improve reporting, data quality, and month-end speed
• Support preparation for Lawhive’s first statutory audit, including audit-file preparation and responding to auditor queries
• Strengthen financial controls and documentation across entities
• Flag process risks or gaps and support remediation
• Assist with stabilising newly acquired entities and aligning them with Lawhive standards
• Support intercompany accounting and reconciliation across the UK/US group structure
• Collaborate with product, engineering, legal operations, people and talent, and executive teams

Requirements

• Part-qualified or newly qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Experience with month-end close and management accounts preparation, ideally across more than one entity
• Working knowledge of Xero and/or NetSuite, or strong general ledger systems experience
• Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, multi-entity environment and working through ambiguity
• Solid grounding in reconciliations, accruals, and intercompany accounting
• Detail-oriented with strong commercial curiosity and keen to understand the “why” behind the numbers
• Good communicator who can work well with stakeholders outside finance
• Self-starter who takes ownership and thrives with a reasonable degree of autonomy
• Ability to work hybrid with 3 days onsite per week
• Visa sponsorship requirements for work in the UK must be disclosed
