Job summary

Jobtailor in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Management Accountant to lead month-end reporting and provide insightful financial analysis for senior management. You will manage the GL, KPI reporting via Hyperion Essbase, and support budgeting and forecasting activities.

Across cost control and variance analysis, you will partner with stakeholders to optimise overheads and improve reporting processes.

Qualifications

• Proven management accounting experience, including month-end reporting, working with a >£500m asset base, reporting to foreign parents, budgeting and forecasting.
• High level of commercial awareness and business partnering experience.
• Strong cost control and financial analysis skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and Power BI for report development.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with presentation skills.
• Good time management and organisational skills.
• Self-motivated and proactive approach with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage the month-end reporting process.

• Assist budget holders in overhead expenditure monitoring and project costs.

• Suggest process improvements and participate in ad hoc projects.
• Coach a direct report and manage performance reviews.

Job description

• Manage the month-end reporting process
• Submit accurate and timely monthly General Ledger figures and Key Performance Indicators using Hyperion Essbase
• Prepare monthly financial data for senior managers, including budget and forecast variance analysis, new business written, margin calculations, and current provision levels
• Drive best practice for cost management
• Manage monthly Cost Centre reporting and variance analysis
• Assist budget holders in monitoring and controlling overhead expenditure, including project costs
• Calculate the Residual Value provision
• Ensure external reporting requirements are met, including Finance and Leasing Association and National Statistics reporting
• Suggest improvements to departmental processes and procedures, including report development and continuous improvement
• Participate in ad hoc projects
• Support or deputise for the Senior Manager, Management Accounting as required
• Manage company overheads
• Coach a direct report and hold regular performance meetings

Requirements

• Proven management accounting experience, including month-end reporting, working with a >£500m asset base, reporting to foreign parents, budgeting and forecasting
