Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a qualified finance professional to lead UK monthly financial accounts, close processes and group reporting. You will perform GL analysis, Oracle-like activities with ERP platforms, and coordinate audits while improving controls. Strong Excel skills and audit exposure are essential.

The role emphasizes collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders, with responsibility for VAT, FX hedging and statutory accounts preparation in a fast-paced UK environment.

Qualifications

• CIMA, ACCA or equivalently qualified.
• At least three years post-qualification experience.
• Sound knowledge of accounting principles, financial statements, practices and procedures.
• Good understanding of external audit processes and requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Clear and effective communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across the business and with external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support the accurate preparation of monthly financial accounts for the UK.
• Coordinate the monthly financial close, ensuring activities are completed accurately and on time.
• Perform account analysis, reviews and transactional accounting.
• Liaise with third parties and internal management.
• Prepare and reconcile accruals, prepayments and provisions.
• Prepare and submit monthly group reporting.
• Maintain fixed asset controls, reconciliations, reporting and depreciation postings.
• Maintain right-of-use asset controls and compliant reporting.
• Analyse financial data and prepare general ledger journal entries.
• Prepare and review balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Support external audits by liaising with auditors and providing documentation.
• Assist with statutory accounts preparation.
• Complete monthly stock reconciliations across JDE, PRMS and REX, resolving discrepancies.
• Prepare and submit the UK VAT return.
• Arrange and monitor monthly foreign exchange hedging activities.
