Job summary

Jobtailor in Manchester is seeking an experienced Finance Controller to lead day-to-day finance operations and support strategic leadership.

You will oversee management accounts, statutory reporting, budgeting, and cash flow management while developing a high-performing finance team. The role requires ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent and strong Excel/financial modelling capabilities.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the Group's Finance Function.
• Support CFO and senior leadership with financial planning and analysis.
• Prepare and oversee monthly and annual management accounts.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to senior management.
• Manage year-end audit process and liaise with external auditors.
• Maintain integrity of the general ledger and financial records.
• Develop and maintain internal control systems.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
• Manage VAT, corporation tax, payroll taxes, and other statutory reporting.
• Monitor financial risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Prepare cash flow forecasts and monitor liquidity.
• Provide variance analysis and investigate financial trends.
• Manage and develop the finance team; set objectives and performance standards.
• Drive cost savings and process improvements.
• Contribute to strategic projects and commercial initiatives.
• Ensure financial systems operate effectively and drive automation.
