Job summary

Happy Raspberry Ltd in Co Armagh is seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join the finance team on a full-time, permanent basis.

You will prepare monthly management accounts, reconcile balance sheets, analyze variances, and produce KPI reports to support business decisions. The role also involves budgeting, MIS development, and collaboration with the wider Group.

Qualifications

• Part-qualified or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial operations.
• Experience with MIS/financial IT systems is beneficial.

We are working with a successful local food manufacturing business, to recruit for a dynamic Management Accountant to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. The job is based in Co Armagh.This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the financial success of an established company while working closely the Finance Team.

The Management Accountant will be responsible for:

• Preparing monthly management accounts accurately and ensuring all reporting deadlines are met.
• Completing balance sheet reconciliations within the required reporting timelines
• Conducting budget variance analysis, investigating discrepancies and providing clear explanations.
• Preparing and distributing weekly and monthly KPI reports.
• Supporting the preparation of monthly financial projections and annual budgets.
• Ensuring compliance with VAT requirements and statutory reporting obligations.
• Supporting the development and implementation of Management Information Systems (MIS) and financial IT systems.
• Building and maintaining strong working relationships with colleagues across the business and wider Group.

What you need to have for the Management Accountant role:

• Part Qualified CIMA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent, Qualified Accounting Technician (IATI) or QBE accountant
• Thorough knowledge of financial operations and accounting principles.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work under own initiative and as part of a wider team.
