Job summary

MCS Group are partnering with a growing Northern Ireland manufacturing business to appoint a Management Accountant to join their established Group Finance team in Belfast. The role covers management accounting, cost accounting and budgeting across the manufacturing arm and wider group.

Applicants may be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or strong QBE candidates with at least 3 years of management accounting experience. Manufacturing or FMCG experience is highly advantageous.

• Minimum 3 years' relevant management accounting experience.
• Manufacturing or FMCG experience advantageous; cost accounting desirable.

Management Accountant

MCS Group are delighted to be partnering with a growing Northern Ireland manufacturing business as they look to appoint a Management Accountant to join their established Group Finance team in Belfast.

The Company

Our client is a rapidly growing Northern Ireland-based manufacturing business specialising in sustainable packaging solutions, supplying customers across FMCG markets.

Following significant investment and growth across the business, they are now looking to strengthen their finance function with the appointment of a Management Accountant.

The business is open to candidates from a range of backgrounds and will consider qualified, part-qualified and strong QBE candidates. Manufacturing or FMCG experience would be highly advantageous, while cost accounting experience is desirable but not essential.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, the Management Accountant will be responsible for:

• Preparing accurate and timely monthly management accounts
• Supporting cost accounting, production costing and variance analysis
• Analysing production information and financial performance
• Supporting stock, inventory and management information systems
• Assisting with budgeting, forecasting and variance reporting

The Person

The successful Management Accountant will meet the following criteria:

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, part-qualified or strong QBE candidates considered
• Minimum 3 years' relevant management accounting experience
• Strong experience preparing monthly management accounts
• Previous manufacturing or FMCG experience would be highly advantageous
