Job summary

Attega Group Ltd. is seeking a Management Accountant to join the finance team. The role focuses on producing accurate monthly management accounts and supporting commercial decision-making for the group.

The candidate will lead reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and process improvements. The ideal candidate will be a fully qualified UK accountant with group accounting experience, strong budgeting and variance analysis skills, and excellent IT proficiency.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified accountant with a recognised UK accountancy body.
• Proven experience preparing monthly management accounts for group entities.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis skills.
• Excellent IT skills (ERP/Excel).
• Experience liaising with auditors and improving finance controls.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate monthly management accounts for the Group's trading entities and holding company, including P&L and balance sheets.
• Analyze actual performance against budget, forecast and prior periods; highlight variances, trends and risks.
• Liaise with external auditors, prepare schedules and respond to audit queries.
• Collaborate with Group FC and operations to improve financial planning, cost control and commercial performance.
• Support month-end and peak reporting across the finance team.

Do you have experience working in a Multi - Company or Group Enviroment?

We are currently recruiting for a Management Accountant to join their team.

The main purpose of this role is to produce accurate and timely financial information for the Group, explain performance clearly to business stakeholders and support informed commercial decision-making. The role will take a leading part in management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, audit support and the continuous improvement of finance processes and controls

In return, our client is offering a salary of up to £50,000, depending on experience.

This role is full-time and permanent. The hours of work will be Monday to Thursday anytime from 7.30am - 5pm ( Flexible working) Friday is always 8am - 4pm

Your responsibilities will include:

• Prepare accurate monthly management accounts for the Group's trading entities and holding company, including profit and loss accounts, balance sheets and relevant supporting schedules
• Analyse actual performance against budget, forecast and prior periods, highlighting significant variances, trends, risks and opportunities
• Liaise with external auditors, prepare supporting schedules and respond to audit queries
• Work with the Group Financial Controller and operational leaders to improve financial planning, cost control and commercial performance
• Collaborate with colleagues across the finance team, providing support during month-end and other peak reporting periods

The ideal candidate:

• Fully qualified accountant with a recognised UK accountancy body, such as CIMA, ACCA, ICAEW, ICAS or Chartered Accountants Ireland
• Proven experience preparing monthly management accounts, including profit and loss accounts, balance sheets and reconciliations
• Strong understanding of management accounting principles, month-end processes, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
