Job summary

Compassion in World Farming International is seeking a Philanthropy Manager (Major Donors) to grow and manage a portfolio of major gifts from high-net-worth individuals across the UK and Europe. You will craft compelling funding proposals, nurture donor relationships, and work toward ambitious income targets.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, maintain Salesforce records, and ensure fundraising practices meet GDPR and ethical standards, while expanding donor engagement across

Qualifications

• Proven fundraising experience from high-net-worth individuals (£10,000+).
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to build long-term partnerships.
• Ability to write and present clear, impactful cases for support.
• Strategic thinker who can convert plans into action.
• Comfortable with targets, budgets, and KPIs.
• Independent worker who collaborates well with teams and stakeholders.
• Experience with Salesforce, fundraising events, an animal welfare NGO, or another European language is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage a portfolio of major donors across the UK and Europe.
• Identify, cultivate and solicit high-net-worth individuals and foundations.
• Create engaging funding proposals, cases for support, budgets and reports.
• Maintain accurate Salesforce records and ensure GDPR compliant fundraising practices.
• Work towards income targets and provide pipeline insights and forecasts.
• Collaborate with Philanthropy, Prospect Research, Programmes and Finance teams.
