Overview
I am currently recruiting for a Maintenance Technician on behalf of my client based in Ayrshire. This is a great opportunity to join a well-established company offering a stable role with long-term prospects.
Primary Accountabilities
- Carry out all activities in full compliance with H&SE legislation, within company policy and procedure.
- Responsible for reporting any unsafe acts or unsafe conditions observed (using the Near Miss System) in accordance with responsibilities under the Health and Safety at work Act.
- Carry out mechanical Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), Corrective Maintenance (CM) and Reactive Maintenance (RM) to production equipment and mechanical infrastructure.
- Fault diagnosis and root cause analysis
- Work in accordance with site procedures, engineering standards and relevant legislation
- Utilisation of the site Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) system for all maintenance works
- Ensure all work is carried out in a safe manner and is to the required standard of workmanship.
- Work in accordance with the site permit to work system
Qualifications/ Experience
- HNC or equivalent in mechanical discipline
- Ability to diagnose faults on mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment
- Good working knowledge of maintenance practice, MTBF, condition monitoring etc.
- Experience in a mechanical maintenance role

- Steam distribution experience
- Experience working in a high hazard industry
- CMMS experience
- Industrial Health and Safety training
