Job summary

Dnata is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join the Maintenance department at London Heathrow. The role involves maintaining equipment across hot kitchens, cold prep areas, and HVAC plant, ensuring reliability and hygiene.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance, preferably in the food industry.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Technical knowledge of machinery and equipment.
• Familiarity with maintenance management software.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement maintenance procedures, schedules, and preventive maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime and reliability.
• Maintain all machinery, equipment, and systems to ensure they are in optimal working condition.
• Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance or repairs.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including regular safety inspections.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures, diagnose issues, and implement effective solutions promptly.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and inventory.
• Prepare requests for the ordering of spare parts and materials as needed to support maintenance activities.

This role operates in a high-volume, time-sensitive aviation catering environment where equipment reliability, temperature control, and hygiene are critical.

The role covers hot kitchens, cold prep areas, chilled/frozen storage, dispatch zones, plant rooms, and roof-mounted HVAC plant.

Key Responsibilities

• Working to develop and implement maintenance procedures, schedules, and preventive maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime and reliability.
