Job summary

Harbour Beach Club in Salcombe is recruiting a Maintenance Assistant to join our stylish waterfront hotel and resort. You will perform basic maintenance, painting to a high standard, and liaise with contractors to ensure facilities are well-kept and compliant with health and safety regulations.

The role requires attention to detail, good communication, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with responsibilities spanning daily checks and routine maintenance tasks.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of Plumbing, Electrics and Painting & Decorating/ Carpentry.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety Legislation.
• Time management and clean work ethics.
• Ability to work alone and as part of a team.
• Adaptability / Problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Daily walk of the building, Report to Duty Manager / Maintenance Manager.
• Room checks.
• General maintenance work i.e painting.
• Attend morning & afternoon meetings.
• Daily, Weekly, Monthly & Annual checks on all products.

We need you to help us maintain our stylish Charm!

We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Assistant to join the team. As Maintenance Assistant you will be confident in all basic maintenance skills. Painting and decorating to high standard is a big part of the job. You will need to have a keen eye for detail, be an effective communicator and possess excellent knowledge of Health & Safety regulations. Someone who is organised in their work and reacts quickly and effectively when required. Working as part of a team, you will be required to liaise directly with outsourced contractors and suppliers.

Key Job Responsibilities

Attributes / Experience

Essential
