Job summary

Sidmouth Harbour Hotel is seeking aMaintenance Team Member to join the team on a flexible, part‑time basis (up to 24 hours per week). You will handle painting and decorating, electrical, joinery and plumbing tasks, with a focus on high standards and proactive service.

You should be an effective communicator, well organized, and ready to learn in a hospitality environment. Prior hotel experience is helpful, but a practical, hands‑on approach is valued.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform basic maintenance tasks including painting, decorating, electrical, joinery and plumbing.

Responsibilities

• Carry out a range of basic maintenance tasks to keep the hotel in excellent condition.
• Communicate effectively with team members and respond quickly to maintenance requests.

The role…

We are currently recruiting for an excellent Maintenance Team Member to join our team on a flexible basis, with hours of up to 24 hours per week.

As a Maintenance Team Member, you will be confident in carrying out a range of basic maintenance tasks, including painting and decorating, electrical, joinery and plumbing. You will have a keen eye for detail and take pride in maintaining our hotel to a high standard.

You will need to be an effective communicator, well organised in your work and able to react quickly and effectively when required. Previous experience in a hotel or similar environment would be advantageous, but a practical, hands‑on approach and a willingness to learn are equally important.
