Maintenance Team Leader:
£58,000 - £60,000
Monday - Friday DAYS 10% pension

My client has been successfully manufacturing for years. Boasting one of the best reputations for hiring maintenance engineers and retaining them. They are constantly innovating and bringing new ideas to the market, which has enabled them to grow from strength to strength. They are currently expanding due to a full order book. They are looking for a senior maintenance team leader to join the team.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Provide professional engineering & maintenance support through the application of expertise, knowledge, and experience. Manage and supervise the KG Machine Shop, PdM activities, the Maintenance Planning Department, coordinate training activities, and monitor/organize insurance compliance.
2. Act as a deputy and “stand-in” for the Maintenance Manager when required.

Responsibilities for the Maintenance Team Leader

1. Focus on developing the Maintenance Planning Department and improving the efficiency of the Machine Shop.
2. Work with Engineering and Maintenance Management to generate meaningful KPIs to track departmental performance and ensure action plans address necessary areas.
3. Manage the Machine Shop and Planning Department.
4. Ensure KG complies with all obligations (e.g., Lifting tackle & Crane inspections, LEV inspections, receiver inspections, etc.).
5. Ensure that KG’s Planned Maintenance schedule is accurate and aligned with business needs.
6. Assist with shutdown planning.

Experience Required for the Senior Maintenance Team Leader:

1. HNC/HND (preferably Mechanical Engineering) from an accredited institution.
2. Experience or a strong desire to work within a manufacturing/production environment.
3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise at all levels.
4. Leadership experience.
5. Technical knowledge within heavy engineering and fast-paced production environments.
