About us

ATA is working with a large manufacturing group, who are looking for an experienced maintenance team leader to join their team at their flagship site in Leicestershire. The company, which has a turnover of circa £450m across 30+ sites, has a fantastic reputation within their market space and excels in its field. The site is relatively new, operational for only 6 years, and hosts a number of state-of-the-art pieces of machinery. This site is led by a diverse and down-to-earth plant manager, alongside an experienced operations team. This opportunity is ideal for a maintenance team leader seeking stability and long-term employment.

About the role

As a Maintenance Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of Shift Maintenance Engineers.

Responsibilities will include:

• Planning the team’s maintenance works
• Supporting with the management of shutdown periods
• Assisting the team with complex problem solving and breakdowns
• Conducting root cause analysis, continuous improvement, and project management
• Managing external contracts and onsite contractors
• Overseeing health and safety alongside a SHE coordinator
• Managing KPIs

About you

To be considered for this Maintenance Team Leader role, you should have/be:

• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is beneficial
• Experience as a maintenance team leader or senior engineer
• Proven ability to lead a team to achieve business KPIs
• Experience managing health and safety, including completing RAMS
• Ability to work under pressure and make confident decisions
• A Level 3 engineering qualification and time served
