Job summary

Faerch Group in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the Engineering Technicians and Stores teams, plan resources and drive proactive maintenance. You will coordinate planned and reactive maintenance, support breakdowns, improve equipment reliability, manage engineering stores and costs, and lead safety, quality and continuous improvement initiatives across the site.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience leading engineering teams in production environments.
• Knowledge of planned maintenance, breakdown management and fault finding.
• Understanding of health & safety, risk assessments and permit-to-work systems.
• Strong problem-solving, communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop Engineering Technicians and Stores team.
• Plan resources and workloads to support production priorities.
• Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance activities.
• Provide technical support for breakdowns and fault finding.
• Drive equipment reliability and cost control in stores.
• Manage inventory, purchasing and supplier relations.
• Support engineering projects and site improvements.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and quality standards.
• Communicate priorities and report KPI performance.
