Job summary

Enbarr Recruitment and Training is recruiting a multi-skilled maintenance co-ordinator for a local manufacturing site. You will manage a small team of maintenance fitters and support the safe, reliable operation of site equipment and facilities.

The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience in machining and tooling, with at least two years in a manufacturing environment, to minimise disruptions and maintain records. Overtime pays at 1.5x; hours are Mon-Thu 6:00am–4:15pm, Fridays off.

Qualifications

• Time-served with at least two years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong hands-on maintenance and engineering experience.
• Practical experience in machining and tooling is preferred.
• Experience working within a fast-moving manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Strong fault-finding and mechanical maintenance skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate maintenance personnel, including subcontractors.
• Complete planned preventive maintenance (PPM) schedules and maintain accurate documentation, including breakdown repair records.
• Manage inventory stock levels using usage analysis records.
• Coordinate prompt breakdown repairs during and outside normal working hours, using internal or external support where required.
• Conduct regular building and machinery inspections to identify and resolve issues.
• Maintain accurate maintenance and inspection records and report concerns to the Production Manager.
• Competently operate manual machinery, including mills, lathes and grinders.
• Maintain existing tooling and jigs, including documentation and revision updates.
• Diagnose faults, carry out repairs and implement effective solutions.
• Work with the Production Manager to identify and implement factory improvements.
• Build effective working relationships across support functions to optimise factory performance.
