Job summary

Proactive Global is recruiting an experienced Maintenance Technician to join a busy engineering team in a UK manufacturing site. You will carry out planned preventative maintenance on production equipment and respond quickly to breakdowns to keep downtime to a minimum.

You will read drawings, fault-find mechanically and electrically, and support improvements to raise machine reliability. The role operates on rotating shifts and offers training, a pension, and free onsite parking.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining manufacturing machinery and production equipment.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical faults quickly.
• Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems and drawings.
• Safe working practices and health & safety compliance.
• Ability to work independently and with a maintenance team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and pneumatic faults.
• Respond promptly to breakdowns and perform fault finding.
• Install, commission and test new machinery when required.
• Record maintenance activities in CMMS and liaise with production teams.
• Support continuous improvement to increase machine efficiency.
