Job summary

Travail Employment Group is assisting a well-established manufacturing business in Goole to recruit a Mechanically biased Maintenance Team Leader. You will lead a small engineering team while remaining hands-on with maintenance, fault finding and continuous improvement activities.

This days-based role offers no weekends, with a salary up to £50,000 and opportunities to drive reliability and site improvements across filling, blending and packaging machinery.

Qualifications

• Apprentice trained maintenance engineer or equivalent qualification.
• Strong mechanical maintenance background in manufacturing.
• Experience with conveyors, pumps, gearboxes and hydraulics/pneumatics.
• Ability to diagnose faults with a logical, structured approach.
• Hands-on repair, disassembly and reassembly of mechanical equipment.
• Computer literacy with CMMS and maintenance records.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and support a small team of engineers.
• Manage and develop the Preventative Planned Maintenance programme.
• Prioritise maintenance activities and coordinate resources.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
• Drive continuous improvement to equipment performance.
• Support production with engineering solutions.
• Maintain compliance, documentation and safety standards.
