Personnel Selection Recruitment is recruiting for a hands-on Maintenance Technician / Maintenance Engineer to join our client, a long-established employer in the Andover area. This is a varied and practical role supporting the Manufacturing Manager with the day-to-day running of the maintenance department across machinery, site services, building maintenance and continuous improvement activity.

Qualifications

• Trade background or NVQ Level 3/4 or higher is essential.
• IOSH or similar health and safety certification would be advantageous.
• Experience in maintenance within manufacturing or similar industrial environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the Manufacturing Manager with day-to-day operation of the maintenance department.
• Liaise with contractors and coordinate maintenance-related site activity.
• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across machinery, site services and building maintenance.
• Promote and maintain health and safety standards and complete risk assessments when required.
• Report defects and ensure appropriate follow-up action.
• Respond to planned and emergency maintenance requests in a timely and effective manner.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
