Qualifications

About the Role

Our client, a prominent industrial facility in Randburg, Gauteng , is seeking an experienced and hands-on Maintenance Supervisor. This role is critical for ensuring the optimal performance and longevity of all plant machinery and equipment. You will lead a team of skilled maintenance technicians, overseeing all aspects of preventive, predictive, and reactive maintenance activities. The ideal candidate possesses a strong technical background in mechanical and electrical systems, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to safety and efficiency. This is an essential on-site role, directly managing the maintenance operations within the Randburg facility to minimize downtime and ensure production continuity.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the maintenance team, including scheduling and assigning work.
• Implement and manage a comprehensive preventive maintenance program to reduce equipment failures.
• Oversee and perform diagnostic testing and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are performed safely and in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems in an industrial setting.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations (e.g., OSHA standards).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and schematics.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Must be able to work on-site in Randburg, Gauteng , and be available for on-call duties as needed.
