Job Opportunity: Maintenance Supervisor

Join a dynamic team in Oxford as a Maintenance Supervisor, leading and supporting a small maintenance team to ensure high standards across all general maintenance activities.

Working Hours and Benefits:

• Hours: 42 hours/week (Mon–Thu 7.30am–4.30pm, early finish on Fridays at 4pm)
• Location: Oxford
• 39 days' holiday including Bank Holidays

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the day-to-day operations of the maintenance team
• Manage HR processes such as absence, performance, and training
• Oversee maintenance requests via Zendesk and ensure timely completion
• Supervise contractors and inspect work quality
• Support and maintain systems including HVAC
• Assist with planned maintenance programmes and refurbishment projects
• Conduct safety inspections and maintain compliance records
• Perform hands-on maintenance, repairs, decorating, and minor installations
• Participate in the out-of-hours emergency call-out rota
• Act as a Fire Warden and First Aider

Requirements:

• Good general education; relevant H&S qualifications are advantageous
• Willingness to work flexible hours and join the call-out rota
• Experience with compliance record keeping and building inspections
• Solid maintenance and team leadership experience
• Skills across trades such as plumbing, electrics, and carpentry
• Strong knowledge of Health and Safety regulations
• Proficiency with IT systems (e.g., MS Office) and maintenance ticketing systems
• Calm, organized, and a hands-on team player
