Job summary

CV Technical Limited is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join their East Midlands engineering team. This hands-on role will supervise a small maintenance crew while carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive work across industrial machinery and equipment.

You will diagnose faults, coordinate maintenance activities, use a CMMS to log actions, and work closely with production and engineering to minimise downtime.

Qualifications

• Relevant engineering or maintenance qualification, or equivalent experience.
• Previous maintenance engineering or supervisory experience.
• Good mechanical and/or electrical fault-finding skills.
• Experience with PPM and reactive maintenance.
• Experience supervising or coordinating maintenance personnel.
• Good understanding of health, safety and environmental requirements.
• Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience using a CMMS or maintenance management system.
• Practical, hands‑on approach.

Responsibilities

• Carry out PPM, reactive and corrective maintenance.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.
• Maintain production machinery and equipment.
• Fault find on motors, drives, sensors, contactors, inverters/VFDs and PLC-controlled equipment.
• Maintain conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, bearings and hydraulic systems.
• Supervise and coordinate a small maintenance team.
• Plan and prioritise maintenance activities.
• Ensure PPM schedules are completed on time.
• Record maintenance activity using a CMMS.
• Support health, safety and environmental requirements.
• Identify recurring faults and improve equipment reliability.
• Work with production and engineering teams to minimise downtime.
• Support continuous improvement.
